Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is a Supplemental Term to the Sourcegraph Terms of Service and applies to your use of our Services. This AUP is incorporated into the Agreement by reference. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this AUP have the meanings set forth in the Agreement.
Violations of this AUP may result in temporary or permanent suspension or termination of your access to the Services in Sourcegraph's sole discretion, as outlined in your Agreement.
- No Spam or Abuse. You may not use Sourcegraph to engage in automatic or excessive bulk activity or coordinated inauthentic activity, including but not limited to spamming, fake accounts (including, but not limited to, creating multiple accounts as an individual), or rank abuse.
- Use Restrictions. We do not allow our Services to be used in connection with,
including to generate, any of the following:
- Abusive or fraudulent content
- Child sexual exploitation or abuse content
- Illegal content
- Sexually explicit content
- Violent, hateful, or threatening content
- Automated determination of legally protected issues or legal rights, including housing decisions, asylum or immigration decisions, financial eligibility, or medical advice or results
- Malware, ransomware, exploits, or other malicious code intended to cause harm to systems, networks, or individuals
- Weapons, including biological, chemical, nuclear, or radiological weapons, or other tools designed to cause mass harm
- Deepfakes, synthetic media, or other AI-generated content intended to deceive, defraud, or harass individuals
- Unauthorized surveillance tools designed to covertly monitor, track, or profile individuals without their knowledge or consent
- Circumvention or disabling of safety features or controls built into the Services or those of Sourcegraph's Partner LLMs
- Partner Use Restrictions. If You use Sourcegraph in conjunction with third-party products or services, you must also comply with the acceptable use policies of those third-party providers.
