Auto-edit: An automated, non-linear coding experience for Cody

We’re excited to introduce auto-edit, an experimental feature now available in Cody for VS Code. Auto-edit goes beyond traditional autocomplete by analyzing recent edits and suggesting context-aware changes, enabling a seamless, non-linear coding experience.

Auto-edit provides smart contextual suggestions that proposes modifications before and after your cursor, including insertions, deletions, and updates across your codebase. It can also automatically identify and suggest updates across multiple places and files.

Auto-edit is rolling out as an experimental feature VS Code users today. Cody Pro users will receive an in-editor notification once it is enabled for your account. Enterprise customers can read our docs for instructions on how to enable auto-edit for their users.
