Preconfigure context in saved prompts
The Prompt Library is getting a major update for teams: the ability to embed specific files, repositories, and other context directly into prompts. This feature enables teams to create precise, reusable prompts tailored to their unique workflows, helping ensure collaboration, consistency, and high-quality outputs across their team.
This new feature introduces an @-mention
-style dropdown when creating or editing a prompt in the Prompt Library, allowing users to embed files, repositories, or specific resources as context in their prompts. This approach not only ensures Cody has the precise input it needs to generate accurate and actionable outputs, but it can be shared with your team for specific use cases.
By embedding relevant files or best-practice resources, teams can craft reusable prompts that provide precise guidance and context, eliminating the need for users to add resources manually at runtime. This not only saves time but ensures consistency and quality in how Cody is used across the organization.
Adding context to saved prompts is available for Cody Enterprise 6.0, and works with Cody Web and the latest version of the VS Code and JetBrains plugins.
